Allosaurus was a large bipedal predator whose name means “Other Lizard”. Its skull was large and equipped with dozens of sharp, serrated teeth. It averaged 31 ft in length. It was a carniverous dinosaur from the Upper Jurassic Period.
Over its eyes were two crest-like horns that were probably used in the mating ritual and for identification.
